Tahun 2026 menjadi titik balik bagi Electriciteam. Mereka tidak sekadar membawa ide, tetapi menjawab kegelisahan nyata: banjir yang datang saat listrik masih menyala—mengintai dalam bentuk korsleting dan sengatan listrik yang bisa berujung fatal. Dari keresahan itu lahirlah FLOWSAFE (Flood Water–Triggered Safety System for Electricity), sistem pengaman yang “berpikir lebih cepat” dari risiko. Saat air naik tanpa aba-aba, FLOWSAFE otomatis memutus aliran listrik, lalu mengaktifkannya kembali ketika kondisi aman, dilengkapi alarm lokal serta notifikasi jarak jauh melalui Blynk dan WhatsApp—sebuah penjaga sunyi yang tetap waspada bahkan saat pemiliknya jauh. Urgensinya pun nyata: secara global 1,81 miliar orang hidup di wilayah rawan banjir dengan kerugian mencapai USD 1,3 triliun (World Bank, 2024), sementara WHO (2023) mencatat kenaikan 40% kasus sengatan listrik akibat banjir di Asia Tenggara. Di Indonesia, lebih dari 750 kejadian banjir hingga September 2024 menunjukkan bahwa risiko listrik masih sering luput dari perhatian.

FLOWSAFE hadir untuk menutup celah itu—sederhana, cepat, dan berfokus pada satu tujuan: mencegah bahaya sebelum terjadi, sekaligus berkontribusi pada SDG 3, 9, 11, dan 4 melalui peningkatan keselamatan, inovasi teknologi, dan peran pendidikan vokasi. Di baliknya, berdiri tim inti: M. Ainul Ilmi, Novi Norsfa, Muhammad Rifky Maulana, dan Muhammad Reigi Alfarizi, dibimbing oleh Suhada, Dasprianti, dan Izuddin Syarif. Perjalanan ini juga diperkuat oleh tim pendukung: Ahmad Hasan, Mustika, Syawrizanur Akbar, Jahidin, Keila Mohammad Aqilqa, Rezha Maulidi Saputra, dan Yuda Afrijal—yang memastikan setiap proses tidak berhenti sebagai ide, tetapi benar-benar menjelma menjadi solusi nyata.

“Congratulations on this project. I was particularly impressed with the thought given to leverage and consult with other organizations and government bodies so you can understand how to scale the implementation and testing of your product. A few pieces of constructive feedback – the subtitles on the video disappeared/progressed too quickly, making the video less effective than it could have been. Also, your slides were jam packed with information – it would be more effective to make them a little more high level vs. having so much detail. –

This is one of the most technically sophisticated and community-grounded submissions. The team built a working device, deployed it in a real home and river location, and tied it to real local disaster data. The integration of IoT alerts via WhatsApp is brilliant for low-connectivity communities.What I wondered: How does the system handle power outages to the board itself during a flood? A backup battery discussion would strengthen the design.

This is a great project and the team identified a clear issue and came up with a concrete and impactful solution.The video was excellent, it clearly provided helpful context and background about the problem the solution addresses.I found it difficult to read the subtitles, I think it would be helpful to slow down the speed at which the text is shown on the screen.It looks like the team had a very good understanding of the technology they relied upon for their project.I found the project very inspiring, it was very humbling to see the impact a small group of students can have on their community, they can literally save lives! I hope the school will continue to expand on this project, I am unclear about long-term goals, but do hope the efforts will be maintained.Well done!Digital Promise, 2026

Best impact on local communities

“I suggest nominating the AKURAT project for the “Outstanding Use of IoT in Environmental Monitoring” award. This nomination recognizes the project’s unique integration of technology to address critical environmental and public health issues effectively.”

Electriciteam kembali menorehkan jejak di panggung dunia, bukan sekadar hadir, tetapi meninggalkan gema yang sulit diabaikan. Dalam ajang internasional Ciena Solutions Challenge 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Digital Promise di Washington DC, Amerika Serikat, mereka membawa gagasan sederhana namun tajam: bagaimana jika air yang kita gunakan sehari-hari bisa “berbicara” tentang kondisinya? Dari pertanyaan itu lahirlah AKURAT (Alat Ukur Keasaman Air Terpadu), inovasi berbasis Internet of Things yang memantau pH air secara real-time, memberi peringatan dini, dan mengirim notifikasi otomatis saat kualitas air berada di ambang bahaya—sebuah penjaga sunyi yang bekerja tanpa lelah demi keamanan bersama.

Tim inti yang terdiri dari Ahmad Hasan, Keila Mohammad Aqilqa, Mustika, dan M. Rizky Aditya berhasil mengubah ide menjadi solusi nyata, hingga meraih penghargaan “Best Application of Technology to Benefit Society”—pengingat bahwa teknologi terbaik adalah yang paling berdampak. Di balik capaian ini, berdiri para guru pembimbing—Suhada, Dasprianti, dan Izuddin Syarif—yang menyalakan arah dan semangat eksplorasi. Proyek ini juga tumbuh menjadi gerakan kolaboratif, melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas 11 jurusan kelistrikan dalam implementasi lapangan, serta diperkuat oleh tim pendukung: Novi Norsfa, Muhammad Rifky Maulana, Jahidin, dan Syawrizanur Akbar. Dengan dukungan Light Community, AKURAT menjelma bukan sekadar karya, tetapi jembatan antara ide, aksi, dan dampak nyata—membawa satu pesan sederhana: inovasi terbaik lahir dari kepedulian, tumbuh dalam kolaborasi, dan menemukan maknanya saat menyentuh kehidupan.

“You could name it “Advanced Kit for Unified and Reliable Acidity Testing” to nail the AKURAT acronym in English 😉 Very good project. pH and Acidity are one good thing to measure to start with, but there could be other contaminents that could negative health consequences as well (if you’re looking to expand in the future)

it is a very nice and diligent effort from all the students to share awareness about the river and the water quality, as water is life for all living beings, I really appreciate their thoughtfulness for the society and animals. I really like the use of technology, particularly use of sensors and Embedded Processor H/w. this is definitely a great initiative for the human kind which can be extended to other locations and can be scaled. What I would be interested in knowing the next stage of the water recycling and treatment for making water drinkable/consumable after detecting its pH ( Acidic or Basic). it is just a food for thought for the near future as next step. From this project, I learned about the significant impact of environmental pollution from coal mining on health and the community’s limited knowledge regarding the use of contaminated river water. It underscored the need for better water quality monitoring and real-time information dissemination to the community and authorities. I appreciated the team’s focus on addressing a critical public health and environmental issue with a practical, technology-driven solution. The unique integration of an automatic water pH detection system with real-time IoT monitoring via smartphones was particularly notable. I wonder about the long-term sustainability and scalability of the AKURAT system, especially in remote areas, and the potential for expanding its monitoring capabilities beyond pH to include other water quality parameters. My advice for the team includes: Expanding monitoring capabilities for a comprehensive assessment of water safety. Implementing community education programs on water quality and data interpretation. Collecting user feedback for continuous improvement. Overall, the AKURAT project is an excellent initiative with the potential for significant positive community impact with further development and support.”— Digital Promise, 2025
